Dragon Ball Raging Blast 3
The dragon ball raging blast 3 is the latest instalment for the Dragon Ball Raging Blast
video game series. The first one came out in 2009 while the sequel was released in 2010. Just like most fighting games today, it is in 3D. But what sets this Dragon Ball game title from the other versus fighting games in the market? Not much. The game is a mix of rapid melee exchange and power beams on either ground or air. Other than that, it is the same monotonous charge up battles.
Power Ups
The graphics catches the visuals and experience of the Dragon Ball series. The characters and battle environments look like the ones viewers see on the television show too. It has a rich assortment of game options as well. People can choose from the universal mode wherein gamers can do a sand box style of play. There is also the story mode in which individuals could simulate the fight stories (sagas) of some of the characters. A co-operative mode is available to play the usual versus fighting and others like team battle and tournament.
This game includes tons of characters. People could select among the heroes and villains from the different chapters of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. A gamer can create his own character if he is not content with the choices. He could customize his own character’s facial and hair features, costume, and even its voice. Individuals can record their own speaking voice. They could also type in subtitles to dub their recordings.
Another nice thing to know about dragon ball raging blast 3 is it has already received a lot of decent ratings from several gaming websites. If these experts thought that it was at least respectable, then this game is definitely worth trying.
Power Downs
The makers were able to capture the look of the characters. But the thing is, they all feel the same. How would the people enjoy being able to choose from countless of characters if the experience of each is too similar with the others? Gamers would surely prefer a fighting game with only 10 distinctive, well-balanced characters above something that has 50 mediocre ones anytime.
Fighting is not well done as well. It is very complicated. It takes some time and a considerable learning curve to totally take advantage of the assorted attacks and moves of all the characters. Also, since the fight settings are in huge environments, the camera could easily lose vision of the opponent. It definitely does not feel comfortable to not have a sight of your opposition in any fighting game.
If people play online, a disadvantage is they will experience a lot of disconnections. What is the use of an online option if eager gamers cannot properly connect?
Review Saga Ends
Dragon Ball has been around for many years already. It is great that the younger generations are still able to enjoy this wonderful cartoon series with video games. The show certainly has come a long way. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this particular (and most, if not all) game version of the cartoon. The transition from Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 to 3 has not improved its fighting mechanics. It is like the only difference the two have are the digits at the end of the game titles. The imperfections might not make a gamer throw this game out the window, but just to at least justify the greatness of the series, creators of the game adaptations really need to shape up.
