Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker: Unlocking the Mad Scientist in People

Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker: Unlocking the Mad Scientist in People

Through the Creepy Years

The original creepy crawlers bug maker came out in the 1960s. During that time it wascreepy crawlers bug maker called thing maker. And since then, this toy has gone through a number of reinventions. Several decades ago, it was as easy as placing goo on a mold that is directly plugged to an outlet to cook. Then a recent version had a bug oven to create the creepy crawlers. Today, the bug maker looks more like a bug factory.

When people buy this toy, it will come with the bug factory, a knife to trim edges for a smoother bug look, a tweezers for pick up and manipulation, a syringe to fill those bugs with internal goo, 2 goo packs, 3 bug molds to shape the creepy crawlers, a mold core, a mold frame to hold the bug molds in place, 20 pieces of bug eggs to melt, and 2 trays to serve the bugs up to whoever.

Crappy Crawlers?

creepy crawlers bug makerIt can get a bit messy. The instructions suggested using 2 to 3 eggs. Putting in 2 may appear fine, but having 3 in there would make it over-ooze on top of the maker. The adults have to make sure that their kids are doing their bug making on a table top. The bugs could get easily destroyed. If people are not careful in taking out the cooked bugs out from the mold, the creations will tear off.

Some buyers might also state that the creepy crawlers bug maker should come with more molds and ooze packs for variety. Probably 3 more bug molds and 2 more of the ooze packs would have sufficed.

Although the manufacturer’s recommended age for this toy is 8 years old and up, the younger ones of this age-range will require assistance from adults. The bug factory is not absolutely easy to operate. Budding mad scientists need to carefully squeeze the melted bug eggs into the mold. The squeezer needs to be pushed down before taking it out or else it would suck the melted ooze out from the bug mold and back to the squeezer. Opening the bug mold frame could be difficult for the kids too. The locking mechanism to prevent the ooze from gooing out requires some force to open up.

Imaginative and Safe Play

This toy can be really fun for both children and adults. It is not the usual toy wherein people just buy a figure and simply play with it. This helps you to create. Creepy Crawlers enthusiasts can even inject goo into a bug to make it seem more real.

Another great thing is that additional eggs, bug molds and goo refill packs could be bought separately. Kids can choose from different colors of eggs and goo. They could make more creepy crawlers such as beetles and worms from a selection of other molds. Creatures like frogs and lizards can be options as well.

Besides the fun and variety, the creepy crawlers bug maker of today is safe compared to the past models.

Bug Making = Awsome

Whether it be for nostalgia reasons of the older population or for kids that just want to have pleasure in molding and smashing bugs, the creepy crawlers bug maker proves to be a great toy for all ages. Simply make it, fill it, and smash it!
